In every conflict zone, a classroom stands empty that should be full. More than 473 million children are growing up amid war and instability. In 2024 alone, 103 million children in conflict or fragile countries were out of school, their futures disrupted by violence, displacement and instability.

That same year, the United Nations verified over 41,000 grave violations against children. This was the highest number ever recorded and included killings, abductions, sexual violence and attacks on schools, the highest number ever recorded.

These are not just numbers, but young lives, futures disrupted by the relentless brutality of conflict and war. It is time to unite to protect education from attack, time to say no more.

Every assault on a student or a school is a gross breach of international humanitarian and human rights law and must never be accepted. let us speak with one voice, honor our collective promise to the world’s children by turning outrage into action.

Let us prove it matters, will you join us?
